Project Life: Tuesday

Sunday, June 20: We are enjoyed a quite restful Father Day with Nathan.

Monday, June 21: We finally started painting Natalie's "big" girl room. We pained it a green apple color. I love the way the color of the walls turned out.

Tuesday, June 23: Nathan finished painting the base boards and we hung everything on her wall.

Wednesday, June 24: I took Natalie to her first movie. It was Sherk the Third. We made it through the first hour and then started getting loud. I thought it was a good try for out first time even though I will not be trying the movie thing again this summer.

Thursday, June 25: We finally finished moving everything into Natalie "big" girl room. When we moved her crib we switched her over to a toddler bed.

Friday, June 26: Well it was to be expected, Natalie fell out of her bed. Her parting gift was a bruise on her cheek. She only cried for a minute or two, I think she was more startled then hurt.

Saturday, June 27: Nathan and I went to a cook-out at a friends house while Natalie hung out with Pappy and Nana. I also took my 28 wk picture a day or two early since I was dressed!!

Movies and Big Girl Bed

We have not been doing much outdoor actives this summer. One because It's HOT and second I can't do anything with out getting hot. We did get out Tuesday for a little fun. I decided to be brave and try take Natalie to the kids free movie at out local theater. I braved the unthinkable with Rebekah, Jenna and Braden by my side. Natalie did well, she did okay. We made it about an hour through the movie. She sat for a bit in the chair and then walked between Rebekah and myself. She did better then I'd imagine she would do. With that said, I don't think I will be braving the movie thing again until next summer. This was the best picture I could get of her, she would never look at me!

We finally finished Natalie new "big" girl bedroom and moved everything over!! It was a long precess that felt like it took forever but it's done. We have a few odds and ends to finish up, hanging some things on the wall and buying a new ceiling fan. When we moved Natalie over we decided to try her out in a toddler bed. I was not convinced that she would stay put. I figured we would have to work at keeping in her bed until she feel asleep, but she only got up once after we told her good night! I don't want to go jumping up and down for joy, but I'm proud and hoping she continues to do well. I can't believe she growing up incredibly fast. She was pretending to sleep.

As soon as everything is hung and finished I will be sure to post pictures of the entire room!! Next on the agenda is painting Lil B room and finishing it up!

Maybe an Artist

I don't care what my children decide to be when they grow up, as long as they are doing something they truly love and enjoy. This past Saturday Natalie explored one of her options.....

Maybe when she grows up she will be an ARTIST!

Her finished painting, framed and hung. I don't know about anybody else...but I think it is worth being hung in an Art Gallery, but then a again I am a bias opinion!!

She really enjoyed herself. She loved every minute of it. I'm thinking about making a little area on the wall in her room to frame and hang some of her art work!

On another note......

Natalie will be moving into her "big" girl room by the end of the week. Nathan finished painting the walls today and tomorrow he is painting the baseboards. I'm planning on hanging things on her wall tomorrow evening and maybe moving a few things. Hopefully we will get her bed moved in either Wednesday or Friday. We will have to see how it smells before we move her bed. I'm thinking we will change her crib into a toddler bed and see how well she does. I'm hoping she does well and not want to climb out of it at bed time.

Happy Fathers Day

We spent Fathers Day just enjoying the day. It started out by going to church, then Natalie and I took Nathan out to lunch. After lunch we came home and rested. I'm cooking Nathan deer roast for dinner. That is how we enjoyed Fathers Day, just simple and nothing over the top. Nathan already got his present a couple of weeks ago, a new grill with a smoker. Nothing over the top, just spending the day together.

Pools and Colds

This week Natalie has been battling a cold, that unfortunately I think I am getting. We have been doing a lot of resting, cuddling, and napping. Luckily last week we got in a little pool time before the cold came a calling.

Natalie loves being in the pool! We visited a friends big pool earlier in the week and she LOVED it. She dived right in. She did not want to leave. I'm thinking I am going to have to sign her up for swim lessons either later this summer or during the winter at the local indoor pool.

Later in the week to satisfy her longing to go swimming, Nathan pulled out her baby pool. It is just a tiny little pool, but that did not stop the fun. She loved it as well. We would splash around, jump out and then go running back into the pool. She had the greatest time. We do really need to buy her a bigger pool, but she loved playing in this one until her Mom and Dad break down to buy a bigger one.

Mini Adventure

It has been HOT here lately so we have been trying to keep as cool as possible. Unfortunately I can't stand to be outside for more then a few minutes at a time. Our outdoor time has been cut short due to the extreme heat and one pregnant self. I try to get Natalie outside in the backyard for at least a few minutes everyday. She loves running around and going to the fence to look out to the little creek we have.

Mother Goose

Natalie has been really interested lately about the baby in mommies tummy. She will repeatedly during the day lift up my shirt and point and say baby. I was pleasantly surprised that she picked up on the fact that her baby brother was in my belly. It blows my mind how quick kids tend to pick things up.

Up till this point she was never really into her baby dolls. She would pass them up to play with other things. A week ago she become really interested in her babies, Pushing them in her stroller, hugging on them and kissing them. This week I was going through all her baby things deciding what to keep and what to give away. Natalie stumbled on her tiny boppy pillow and decided it was just perfect for her baby.

I have no clue where she picked it up at, but she was very at home with herself sitting there with her baby watching T.V. She is going to be the best BIG SISTER any brother could have!!

Show Us Your Life-Dream China Pattern

This week I'm participating in Kelly's Korner "Show Us Your Life". This week They are showing China patterns. When Nathan and I got married we were so young that China patterns were not on our "NEED" list when registering. We both were coming basically from living with our parents and we needed more basic things. Now that I'm growing up into a semi adult I would really like start collecting pieces every now and then. My mom has a few peices from my grandma that I'm waiting paitently to receive. It's not a full collection so I would really like an entire collection to be able to use during those special occasions.

I everything Kate Spade! Shoes, purses, clothing and even the china patterns.

I love the details on this set is simple and classy!
I LOVE the polka dots on this set! Who doesn't like polka dotsMaybe one day I will start asking for a few pieces for Christmas and Birthdays!!

24 Weeks

*Since I'm almost 25 Weeks I thought I would post this without a belly shot since I have yet to remember to get one maybe after I'll remember after church today!*

It's still hard to believe that in less in 16 weeks I will be a mother of TWO under TWO!!! We sill do not have a name for Lil B. If your wondering the B stands for Boy or the name we are 99.99% sure we are naming him but yet to make official!! The past 4 weeks I have been dreading my glucose test. Well, after all the worrying...I passed but my iron levels are super low. The dr. but me on an iron supplement twice daily
. I only have one more 4 wk appointment then I start going every two weeks. I can't believe we are getting closer.

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 24 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Okay this is a little confusing....my dr. hates telling me how much weight I have gained she will only tell me if I ask and then she just kinda skims over it. So when I asked I don't know if she said I gained for pounds since my last appointment. Which would put me back to my beginning weight. OR I have gained my weight back plus 4 pounds which would mean I gain 9 pounds in four weeks. Either way the dr. did not seem worried and neither am I. It's just weight and I need it to keep my baby healthy. (thats what I keep telling myself anyway)
Maternity Clothes: Yes, I'm wearing all maternity jeans and mostly maternity shirts. I can fit into a few regular shirts that I have to but a little big!
Best Moment this week: Feeling Lil B move more and more. He is definitely more active then Natalie ever was
Gender: It's A Boy
Movement: Yes it is AMAZING!
Food Craving: Rotel Dip and M & M's!
What I miss: Being able to be more active and not get so tired so easily. Which getting my iron up might help this a lot.
Sleep: It comes and goes, some nights are better then others
What I am looking forward to: Finishing up Natalie's room and starting on the nursery!
Symptoms: Lower back pains and hip pains

Pig Tails and Pony Tails

I'm so excited to announce that Natalie's hair is long enough to put up in pig tails and a pony tail. I was excited that she is finally growing hair and not sporting the mullet anymore. I need to go out and get some cute clips and bows that are small enough to sport in both pig tails.

She did not want me taking pictures of her yesterday. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. I had to be sneaky about taking them and then that did not work out to well.
At least I got one decent picture, I only had to catch by compete surprise as she turned around at me.
Taking cover in her chair.
