Thanksgiving Recap

Thanksgiving was not very eventful this year. The day started out with us relaxing around the house and watching some of the Macy's Parade. We started out our Thanksgiving feast at my parents house for lunch and ended with dinner at Nathans mom and dad's house. I did not take any pictures. Running after two kids will sometimes make you forget you even have a camera.

This was our attempt for a family picture. Not a great picture but with a two year old and a 2 month old....it was the best we could do!! It was a great Thanksgiving all around. We all went home more stuffed then we needed to be.

The next morning was BLACK FRIDAY. I love Black Friday not only for it's bargains but just for the atmosphere. I did score a few good deals. I bought me a Cricut for only $65.00, bought all the nieces and nephew Christmas gifts. Mom bought a lot of Christmas presents. But the best deal anyone received was Nathan. He bought me my Christmas presents and gave it to me that day. He bought me a Cannon Rebel. I could not have been more excited. I have wanted one for so long now. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband!! Saturday Nathan and I went out with some friends to celebrate his birthday that was on Sunday. We spent the rest of our holiday weekend watch football and relaxing. I was a great Thanksgiving Holiday.

Playing Catch-Up

Nap time around my house you can find me sitting at my kitchen table with my scrapbook stuff in front of me.I am so incredibly behind with Natalie 2nd year and slowly beginning to fall behind on Brody's 1st year. I love doing it so I continue to pluck away at it. I am planning on buying Project Life. I am going to do the Picture a Day. This album will be for the day to day life, the simple things. I am still planning on doing a scrapbook for each Natalie and Brody for the bigger things. I hope but doing this I will not be so overwhelmed with scrapbooking and be able to enjoy sitting down and working on there albums.

In other news: We are finally getting all of Brody's tummy issues resolved. He is still eating 4oz of Similac Sensitive formula ever 3 hours. He also get 2oz of straight apple juice everyday. Sometimes I mix a little Miralax into it to help move things along. We also started to add rice in his last bottle at night in hope he sleeps through the night. Yesterday was the first time we tried it and he slept from 11:00 to 5:30!! Lets just hope it was not a fluke. He is much happier through out the day since changing hid formula!

This little princess has been up to her old tricks! Being a sweet princess one minute and then the terrible two toddler the next. She has a new trick: She loves grabbing things she knows she is not allowed to play with and when we catch her, she will shut her eyes real tight and make the funniest face. It is like she thinks if she can't see us we must not be able to see her. She can be a real goof ball sometimes.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and then shopping on Friday with the Iron Bowl after!! Looking forward to a long and fun holiday weekend.

Potty Training: Day 1

With Natalie now being two....I have decided she WILL be potty trained. I refuse to but anymore DIAPERS for her. We just opened a new box of 108 diapers (I may have used 10). So starting today we are officially potty training. I have not only set a goal for her to be potty trained I have also set a goal for myself....I will not put a diaper on her unless she is sleeping (I know that takes longer to train) or we are out in public (I do have a 8 week old to tend to while out...I can't be changing her pants every time she wets while out). After she is good and potty trained at home we will move onto night training and wearing underwear out in public.

So you ask, how was the first day?.........well she never actually went in her potty. She started to go in underwear so I would put her on the potty and nothing. The girl can hold her pee!! This afternoon we went out so potty training took a back seat for the day. Tomorrow we are staying home all day so we are doing nothing but potty training!!

Some pictures from Sunday......

Natalie playing with the quad Nana and Pappy got her for her birthday. And yes we wear dresses while riding our quads!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATALIE

IT IS STILL HARD TO BELIEVE YOU ARE TWO!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEET PRINCESS. YOU ARE A TRUE BLESSING!

We had a great day today celebrating Natalie Birthday. We had some earns to run this afternoon so we decided to have lunch at one of Natalie's favorite places! SAMS!! She loves eating their pizza. Every time we pull into the parking lot she starts screaming for pizza! After we were done with all our running around, we headed home to relax and spend the day hanging out.

For dinner I made Natalie's favorite dinner, TACOS! After dinner She opened presents. Nathan and I got her some puzzles, a Mrs. Potato Head and a LaLa Loopsy Doll.

Then it was time for dessert. Since we are having cake tomorrow I decided to make her cookie sandwiches.

She played with her Mrs. Potato Head for a bit, then it was bath and bed. She has a big day tomorrow, a dog show in the morning with her Daddy and them her Birthday party!!

Almost Two Years

Has it really almost been two years that I held my precious baby girl for the first time?

Has it really almost been two years that I became a Mother, something I had dreamed of since I was a little girl.

Has it really been almost two years since my little princess 1st wrapped her tiny finger around mine, she knew I was her Mommy.

Has it really almost been two years that I got the greatest blessing the Lord could have ever blessed me with. I am so lucky to be Natalie's Mommy, sometimes I just look at her and wonder how God is so good? She is such a blessing to me and such a wonderful Gift from God and I thank him each and everyday for my precious daughter.

Since becoming a mother I have changed in so many ways, but for the better. Natalie makes me a better person, she always puts a smile on my face, and reminds me by things so simple that I am blessed and that God is so great!

Wordless Wednesday
