Halloween Weekend

One Holiday down...two more to go!! It is hard to believe Halloween was here and now it is gone. These past few month have flown by. We had another busy weekend so here is a recap of all our Halloween fun.

Friday, after trying to go all week, we finally made it to the pumpkin patch. We debated whether or not to just skip it this year. I'm so glad we decided to go. Natalie had a blast. She loved every minute of it and even got to pick out her own pumpkin.

Later that evening we went to a surprise birthday party for a friend of ours, Chris. We had a lot of fun catching up with people we don't get to see very often and helping celebrating Chris's 25th birthday. Natalie kept screaming Chris's name over and over and over!

Saturday we enjoyed a laid back morning and then it was off for some Halloween festivities. We dressed Natalie up in her Halloween costume and took her to see both her Great-grandmas. The Trunk or Treat we were going to take her to did not work out but was kinds good since I really don't need all that candy in my house anyway! Later that evening Nathan and Natalie carved the pumpkin Natalie picked out at the pumpkin patch.

Sunday, Nathan had to work so Natalie, Brody and I headed to my mom and dad's to hang out. My mom tried to take Natalie trick or treating but she did not want any part in it. Maybe next year!
This week in going to be a busy week. Natalie is turning two on Friday and then we are having her party on Saturday. I still have tons to do to get ready!

Weekend Roundup

This past weekend, we did not much of anything. It was nice to just to able to relax for the majority of the weekend. Friday night Nathan and I went to Bone Fish Grill to celebrate our 4 year anniversary! That was the first time either of us had been there. It did not disappoint! After dinner since the kids where at his parents house we decided to go to Toys R Us to buy Natalie birthday presents (only two weeks left). She was been going crazy for a new doll she keeps seeing on t.v. so I knew we had to get it! The Lala Loopsy doll. It is kinda ugly but every time she sees the commercial she just stares in awe.
Well Toys R Us was sold out.....are you serious. I thought we were the only people in the world that was going to buy this doll. I had seen them at Walmart a few days earlier so we headed to Wally World. We also picked her up a Ms. Potato Head and a few puzzles. I crossed off another thing off the "Birthday To Do List".

Saturday was another kinda hang around the house day. My mom, sister and niece came out to the house. My sister and niece had not had a chance to meet Brody. I was horrible this weekend about taking pictures!!! Later in the afternoon, we made a much needed trip to the grocery store. The rest of the day was dedicated to watching some football. One on my favorite games of the year is Alabama vs. Tennessee. Luckily we pulled out a win (it looked grim at halftime).

Cheering on the Tide with Daddy.

Sunday we headed out to church. It was Brody second time at church. We slept the majority of it. He woke during the Lord's Supper. I started to get nervous....all I needed was my kid to start wailing and my hands being full. Luckily he grunted a few times and waited till we were done. Later the evening we some friends over for dinner. I also enjoy hanging out with this couple! Nathan grew up with him and I just adore his wife. They are expecting there first baby so it's nice to share horror stories with them!!

It was a a much needed weekend of nothingness. Tuesday I'm getting the kids picture done. Hopefully it goes better then the ones I tried to take on Sunday!!

First Trip to the ZOO!

This past Tuesday Nathan and I decided to take the kids to the zoo. We wanted to take Natalie this past summer but it was to hot to be walking around all pregnant and stuff! So Tuesday morning we loaded up the car and took the 2 hour drive to Birmingham. The kids did really well on the drive down. They both sleep the entire time!!

Our first stop was the Reptile house....which was not a hit with Natalie so we quickly left and headed to the birds....again not a huge hit with Natalie. She was terrified. At this point I'm thinking that this trip might be turning into a disaster! Then we come across the seals......

The seals were a hit! She loved watching them swim around! After the seals Nathan took Natalie to see the Kangaroos. Unfortunately they did not allow strollers in this exhibit so Brody and I hung outside!

Natalie ran across the ducks next and of course she wanted to stop and take a gander!!

Natalie favorite animal was the monkeys!!After the monkey's we saw a giraffe and a lion that looks a whole lot like Natalie and Brody!

We had a great day at the zoo and enjoyed ourselves!!

23 and 1 Months

Natalie turned 23 months last week. We only have a few weeks until we celebrate her 2nd Birthday! She is a very active toddler. She does not sit sill for long. She is turning into a wonderful big sister!!
Brody is 1 month today! It is hard to believe that he is already 1 month. These days he is eating 3 oz every 3-4 hours and sleeping for 4 hour stretches during the night. He usually is wake for 3 hours and then sleeps for 3 hours and then repeats during the day. It all depends on the day...some days he sleeps more then others.
This past month has been a crazy month....I'm looking forward to what the next couple of months have in store for us!!

A New Subject

With Natalie being a rowdy almost two year old, it has been hard to get her to sit still long enough to take pictures. About the only time I can get to take picture is to ask her if she wants to hold Brody and then even that I have to sneak the camera and quickly snap a few shots. Lucky for me though......I have a new subject who can not get up a run away or even tell me "NO" as I pull my camera out!!

Brody at 3 weeks!

A great picture of Natalie but a not so great picture of Brody.
Natalie was more interested in the t.v. then taking pictures and Brody was getting mad about the continuous flashing light.
Natalie's looks of announce! We were done after this picture.
This week has been low key here at our house. We have been doing a lot of lounging around in our p.j. I have high hopes of hopefully getting into some type of routine soon! Next week kicks off our next couple of weeks of busyness (is that a word). Tuesday we are headed to the zoo! Hopefully all kids will behavior of the trip down to B-ham!!! Wish us luck!
