Where have We Been

It has been almost a month since I last updated...we have had a very busy summer so far! A couple of weeks ago we took a week long vacation to St. Georges Island, FL. We had so much fun and enjoyed being at the beach. Natalie loves everything about it, from swimming in the ocean, building sand castles, looking for sea shells, swimming in the pool and everything between! Brody on the other hand, did not. He disliked the ocean, the sand and even the pool. We all enjoyed ourselves and had great memories.

What A Mess

Sorry for the lack of post :( I wish I could use the excuse that we have been busy but that would be a lie. I just don't have any energy lately. I hope to get back in the grove of things soon!!

This past Wednesday I decided to pull out the color bubbles that Natalie received in her Easter basket from Nana.



They were a complete MESS! Natalie could hardly blow any bubbles since the liquid was so thick and every time she would pull the stick out it would spray the orange stuff all over her and dripped everywhere. It basically was orange paint with some soap mixed in. After about 5 minutes of trying to blow bubbles she turned to me and said "I don't like it"!!! I knew she was disappointed that she could not blow any bubbles so I ran inside and grabbed her other bubbles.

Let just say we all needed a bath after we got done playing outside!!

Easter 2010

**I have tons to post so bare with me as I recap April**

Easter weekend started out Saturday with an Easter Egg Hunt at a local church. Natalie was excited to go on the hunt!

That evening we died Easter eggs. I remember doing this every Easter growing up and was excited to start this tradition with Natalie and Brody!

Sunday was Easter! We had a great day that started with Church and then lunch at Nathans Memaws house. Followed by dinner with my family at our house.

We had a great Weekend but a busy one. I forgot to get a family picture but hopefully I can remember to take on soon!!

Wipe Out

Natalie loves her new swing set. I was so happy we finally got it up last week but then it rained and rained and RAINED! This week we finally were able to get out there and have some fun. Saturday was her first time going down the slide multiple times. The first day she was zipping down the slide and would not slop until she hit the ground. Eventually she figured out how to slide a little slower and not to go flying off!

We have been taking advantage of every nice day we are having. Natalie goes to sleep so well if I get her out to play during the day. So we have been going out after Brody gets up from his morning nap and then again before I start dinner. Brody has been enjoying the sun.

(disclaimer.....this was taking in the morning and there was a breeze. I did not want his head to get cold!!)

April Fools

To the average person April Fools Day is a day of jokes and pranks but to me it represents a whole different meaning. Three years ago this day gave me hope, hope of a future with a child I so desperately wanted. On this day three years ago Nathan and I waited in the waiting room of the doctors office awaiting an ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck. I had not been back to that office in almost a year after hearing that we had lost our first baby.

Not only did we get to see her. We heard the most wonderful sound an expectant mother could hear....her heartbeat.


It amazes me daily how that tiny little baby could grown into the little princess she is today!

When I found out I was having a boy the second time around I could not have been more excited. The only problem was all those adorable clothes I had left over from Natalie were no longer useful.....except a few pajamas. My babies are growing up way to fast!!
